South Congregation-1989 : South Congregation-1989....I was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1989. At that time, I was attending South Congregation. Ben and Angie Sawyer were leaving South to attend Monument Congregation, so they took pictures of the members of South. They were kind enough to let me scan their pictures and post them here in August of 2006.

South Congregation Body of Elders-1995 : South Congregation Body of Elders-1995.... In the mid-90's I served as an elder in two congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses. The first was South Congregation and the second was Fruitvale Congregation. I don't have a picture of the Fruitvale body, but I do have one of South, which I believe was taken in 1995.

I've known Chuck for quite some time and enjoy his insightful observations and biting commentary on life in this system we live in and the people we share it with. At one time, before becoming one of Jehovah's Witnesses, Chuck was a biker in Detroit, Michigan. Chuck has made a name for himself as a talented pool table re-coverer and re-covers tables at different establishments in the Grand Junction area. Once in a while he asks me to help him. The Vince Popish Family : The Popishes.... I've known the Popish family since I became associated with Jehovah's Witnesses back in the late '80s. Vince has not only been my friend, but was also once my boss (click here for pics of my job). At one time we also served together as elders in South Congregation (click here for South Congregation Body of Elders). These pictures were taken by the Popishes from late 2003 through early 2005 and the Popishes are allowing me to share them with you.

The Slifes : The Slifes.... For a few years the Slifes and I attended South Congregation in Grand Junction together (click here to see other members of South Congregation back then). Jim & I served together on the body of elders there (click here for South Congregation Body of Elders). Then they decided they would like to move somewhere where the need was greater for the ministry work that Jehovah's Witnesses do. So they moved to Utah. They're quite happy there, but all their friends in Grand Junction miss them a lot. These pictures were taken when they visited South Congregation in November of 2003.
