In February of 2007, I purchased my current bike off the showroom floor.

Slosh > {Wednesday, February 21, 2007} The weather has been so nice lately that I'm starting to get antsy about getting another motorcycle. Kinda like this Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 Classic that I looked at today.

Slosh > {Wednesday, February 21, 2007} A little bigger engine and a bit beefier presence than the Suzuki 1400 Intruder that I wrecked.

Slosh > {Thursday, February 22, 2007} And they said I'd never ride again! Took the bike I featured yesterday for a ride today, and wound up signing a buncha papers that allowed me to take it home, if I promised to make payments for the rest of my life. For those of you thinking, "Wow!, a Harley (which I would have to live TWO lives to pay off)", I remind you that it's a 2007 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 Classic. In a town of a gazillion Harley riders, I will be pointed at and made fun of, but it's still a pretty sweet motorcycle.

Slosh > {Thursday, February 22, 2007} As time goes on, I'll make a few changes, starting with the seat, but for now, I'm just going to ride it and gently break it in . . . and try to avoid running into anymore cars.

Slosh > {Friday, March 2, 2007} I'll try not to bore everyone with countless pictures of this new bike, like I did with the previous bike, but I like to note any changes in it. First change: removal of the passenger seat. I didn't care for the looks of it and I don't plan on having any passengers . . . especially in light of my accident. I'm glad no one was on the back of that bike.

Slosh > {Thursday, March 15, 2007} This thing under the driveshaft of my new motorcycle, it's a voltage regulator or rectifier, is a major eyesore on an otherwise pretty good looking bike.

Slosh > {Thursday, March 15, 2007} So I covered it with a chrome cover made by Arlan Ness. (The previous picture showed the bike with the passenger seat and passenger footpegs still attached. I took the seat off and, as you can see here, the rear pegs have also been removed . . . so don't ask me for a ride.)
